I am a natural light photographer in Cave Creek, AZ. My sessions are very relaxed and casual. As a mom, I completely understand how difficult it is to get everyone ready for family portraits...from hunting for coordinating outfits, making sure all little fingernails are dirt and nail polish-free, and hoping the kids don't fall asleep on the way and wake up in horrible moods...been there! While grumpy kid pictures can be adorable, you're hoping to get at least one shot with everyone at least looking in the general direction of the camera. When did it all become so stressful?! Along the way, I've learned that sometimes the "perfect"  family picture is the one that just shows us being us. So, relax (if you can)!

 I like to call my style rustic realism. Rustic because, well, we live in the desert and I'm bound to get some of the beautiful, natural surroundings in my shots. Admittedly, realism may not be the appropriate word because I love to edit as much as I love to photograph. But, my favorite photos are those that capture those real moments and expressions, the ones that can't be posed, faked, or, for those of us with kids, bribed.

I shoot at different locations in Cave Creek, Carefree, North Scottsdale and North Phoenix. Let me know if you have any questions or requests.
