Three silly girls, two headbands and a mom who bribes with chocolate...

I seriously think I have the most difficult kids to photograph. It's not that they don't take good photos. They just don't cooperate, at all. I've seen them drive the most experienced and patient photographers absolutely nuts. To be fair, my oldest is very well behaved. The younger two are my wild children. One is my silly, whimsical daydreamer while the other is sassy, defiant and stubborn (which they must get from their daddy, of course). While we will never have the classically charming picture of all of our angels smiling lovingly at the camera, our Christmas cards are bound to make Papa and Nana smile.

Christmas Sessions

I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph some family friends. Not only were they adorable and amazingly cooperative, they were so much fun! My girls tagged along (shots of them to come soon) for some play time while we got our Christmas card photos accomplished.

New House = New Lighting

We moved at the beginning of this month...a whole 2 miles from where we were living. It's so much fun to play around in a new yard, discovering the secret spots where lighting is great. I also decided it was time I branched out and learned how to shoot in manual instead of always relying on aperture preferred.

So, I took a break from unpacking and called the kids away from their homework (no complaints there!) for a little yard exploration/photo session.

A Photography Blog

After months of procrastination, I finally have a blog! This page is where I will post a few of my favorite shots from each client session. While I will try to show restraint, I am sure some random pictures of people, things and places I think are interesting and beautiful will find their way in on occasion.
So, watch for new posts...particularly once we're out of the "off season." Autumn can't come soon enough!
